Through my experiences living across multiple cities and countries, ‘home’ has always existed less as a fixed destination and more as a temporary state of passing through. In the time spent adjusting to new spaces, what first framed the beginning and end of my day was not a physical room, but the screen I always held in my hands. Maps, messages, playlists, and note apps became more than tools. They became places I repeatedly visited. Opening and closing these screens each day gradually mirrored my daily rhythms and emotions, eventually functioning like a psychological ‘home.’ Even amid a life of frequent movement, these digital screens remained relatively stable, allowing me to maintain my own pace and sense of familiarity. I view home not as a physical space, but as a psychological place that anchors the mind and provides a sense of comfort.
Description
In <Home Screen>, the screen represents a digital home composed of familiar apps. It responds as viewers enter and exit its frame, allowing them to inhabit this space. While the viewer’s physical environment shifts as they move in and out of the frame and among the various exhibits, the digital world on the screen remains constant, highlighting the contrast between the enduring stability of a digital home and the transient nature of physical spaces. As you move about the various exhibits, feel free to return and take a rest in this warm digital home :)
